Finding and understanding your data, read only
Approve which folders the platform may read, classify what a database holds, and see what depends on each source.
Example: Calder & Rowe Manufacturing (fictional) · Head of IT. Fictional data and a scripted answer.
- What happened
- The company wants its procedures and drawings found across shared drives and its sales database understood, without the platform ever seeing HR or finance.
- The question
- What may the platform read, what does it find, and what would we lose if a source went away?
The journey, step by step
Simulation. A scripted journey on fictional data, not produced by a live model. Each step uses what you decided in the steps before it, and only the figures are computed.

0 of 5 folders are approved, 0 files, read only.
The platform reads only these folders, in read-only mode [S1]. Two restricted folders stay out of reach unless their owners grant an exception through their own process.
Relies on: S1 · Folder inventory, shared drives
The head of IT with the folder owners decides. Approving creates a read-only access grant for exactly these folders. It does not read, move, change or delete any file.
Not ready. Choose at least one source to read first.
Next: Classify what the database holds. It opens when the step above is complete.
Limits of this example
- A scripted journey on fictional data: nothing was read.
- Classification from patterns is a signal for a person to confirm, which is what the second step records.
- This is a scripted demonstration on fictional data. No model was called and no real organisation, person or result is shown.
The capabilities this draws on
- AutoDiscover from a folder you approveNobody has time to organise years of files before they can benefit from any tool.
- Understand a database, read onlyBusiness data lives in systems whose structure only a few people understand.
- One model of the organisationEach tool keeps its own idea of who, what and which system, so they disagree.

The other journeys
- From a recording to a verified practitionerA line changeover is captured with consent, drafted from its sources, reviewed, released with its gates, and checked in practice.
- From supplier findings to a recovery planReview invoice findings against contract terms, see what recovering them is worth, and decide whom to approach first.
- From a new market to an evidenced obligation registerEstablish which obligations apply to a planned expansion, check the evidence for them, and see whether you will be ready by the audit date.
- From a legal notice to a reviewed responseRead a letter before action, protect the evidence it asks you to keep, and settle the wording of the reply.
- From a what-if to a board resolutionTest an acquisition under assumptions, compare the options, and settle the resolution put to the board.
- From what the AI may read to answers with evidenceSet what an assistant may read, audit who has access, answer a customer's security questions with evidence, and check what the Trust area can honestly say.
